DJ Flight Case Build - Pioneer DDJ 1000 Mod (Custom DJ Gear)

In this video we build out a complete pioneer DDJ 1000 SRT case with a laptop arm, wireless mics, and a port panel for quick connections at events.

One extra thing I do on all my cases, an extra 2 rca’s from record out to your front panel. So videographers can plug straight in and grab the audio for the event/speeches if you’re not running external mixing board.

I put a 1u drawer in my case and power strip in the far back. Helps so much

Great few tips.... Mounting neutrik connectors from behind the patch panels gives a much much cleaner look. It also puts less stress on the mounting screws as you connect/disconnect your cables. Running xlrs right next to PowerCon will likely induce a noticeable hum/buzz. I always leave a minimum 2 hole gap.

Pioneer controllers/mixers have always had inferior mic inputs. It is their greatest Achilles heel. Even a cheapie Behringer/Alto/Pyle mixer will yield much greater sonic results....

Nice tidy case, personally i like all my connections at the rear, there out of the way and no one can accidentally stand on the wires if they’re dropping down the front by my feet.

Very nice case! I dont like the hot glue and the cut on the strip though. Looks messy. Why not make a 2nd bracket for the antenna and not cut the strip. Cutting it makes it look bad.

Do antenna combiners hurt signal strength? Im using Sennheiser EW-D with dual antennas. Had a dropout after combining to one larger antenna. Thanks Rick!!

I understand everyone have these preference in where the cable connections are place but mind are located at the back of the case. I don't need cable infront of me to trip on. I also have some on the two sides of my case.

I’ve always wanted to do a setup like this! It looks super fun an easy to setup, but I hate not having gain on my ddj1000srt. I’m definitely doing this instead in an 8u rack case with a drive rack PA2!

Inspiring! I'm doing a very similar configuration inside a Odyssey FRGS802. Trying to make set up super simple and avoid the "spaghetti table" look 😁
