Glad I stumbled to this channel exactly on the jul 26 2021 bought a 94 Chevy c1500 from an auction with a bad transmission won’t go into any gears and I wanted to see if I can try something to see if I can try and somehow preform a miracle and get it to move so I’m trying to learn something from your channel thanx I really like your videos

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I thought that the P0758 code was for the shift solenoid B. The solenoid that he is testing the video is the 3-2 downshift solenoid.

Just seeking a little clarity.. Same trans .. Originaly i got the code for solenoid a .. Open or short circuit, replaced both a and b, still have code but it's referencing open or short circuit on 3-2 solenoid.. Which would tell me that a, b solenoids are before 3-2 solenoid, and maybe they all got toasted due to a short upstream smowhere ..
I have a no shift. And no speedo scenerio ..
The code hasn't changed just solenoid reference ..

If your shift soleinoid screens are clean is the valve in the spring on the inside usually clean too?

Hello friend I have a van and it is not changing from 2 to 3 I gave the code p 0757 check and I was disconnected the plug I connected it and I bought two valves A and B new since the others were very hard seals not acian their work I do not have the light of chek engin but my Van does not change from 2 to 3 any suggestion other than to buy a new

Can you also test the 3-2 solenoid with a 9v battery?

Hi! Scotty, here what have happened to my transmission on 05 escalade esv. Putting on drive and only went up to 25mph and rpm starting to rev after if pushed on gas paddle won’t shift to 2nd and the rest of the gears. if I put it in towed mode on and shift it to 3 third gear instead of (D) and it shift but only went to 50mph rpm stay at 3000 rpm. Again starting to rev after if push on gas paddle. My suv is two hours away from home. Just wanted to get it home so I can take a better look. Any suggestions? Thank you very much. hi scotty new the channel so i have a 2002 trailblazer 4.2l 4l60e ihave replaced the a&b and thw 3-2 vavle tested the wiring harness with power probe with key off and aligator clip not on a ground nothing to either side of connector .withe key on and aligator clip grounded i get poweer only to one side of connector not the other could this be a ground issue the shifting sucks i put it in drive and take off slow it will shit into 2nd them limp mode and nothing but when i stop and put it in prk then back into drive it will do the same thing and i can not even power shift it getting a p0785 code HELP

Which one is solenoid A and which one is Solenoid B. Is there any difference in solenoid A and B? Do I purchase 2 of the same catalog number for A and B to be replaced? I have a 2015 5.3 Yukon with a transmission 4L60-E-RWD. Will you tell me what the catalog numbers are using AC Delco parts for these 2 solenoids.

Ok. I did all that on my 1998 Chevy C1500 with the 4L60E I WAS GETTING PO785 but my truck was not going into 1st gear or 4th gear. If I drove it for like 10 minutes like that I was able to shut the truck off and then turn it back on and then I have all my gears. I changed all my shift solenoids filter and fluid and it's still doing the same thing. Even if I try to put the shifter in 1 gear. It still won't work until I warm up the transmission and then turn the truck off and then back on and I can do that in neutral and then it goes in all the gears.

Hello I have a 2002 gmc yukon xl denali with the r4l65e transmission, it's not shifting into 2nd at all, was wondering if changing the solenoids will fix the issues. Other than that, before it was just really sluggish and would act like it's driving in towing mode. There's no transmission slippage or weird noises, it just won't shift out of 1st anymore. Was also wondering if you knew if the solenoids in the 4l65e were different than the 4l60e.

Hi. I replaced a broken TCC Solenoid (#24227792). On GM's website it says "This part requires programming and/or special setup procedures"... did you have to do a relearn/ programming procedure when you replaced it with a new one?

After replacement i'm still getting code p0894... also replaced the Trans control solenoid (2141892 ). Shifts fine driving in the city. Only after hwy driving do I get the code.

Hi Scotty, your videos have helped me immensely! I have a 97 chevy K1500 5.7l with this 4l60e. I have code P0785 shift solionoid A. I replaced Solionoids A and B but am still getting the code and its shifting funny. Would you suggest I drop the pan and check/replace the other 3-2 soliniod your reffering to in this video?
