This was such a desperately sad story. A poor little boy murdered because of jealousy and hatred of a successful family. And I can't imagine how devastating it must be to know that the child's grandparents and his uncles and aunts knew who did it/were complicit in the murder.

The national police officer was a real misogynist. He was so focused on her appearance and how good she looked that did missed the chance to mention It all the time. Tried so hard to prove that she had a secret lover with no luck. Poor woman, like loosing her child wasn’t enough.

Greed and jealousy can be an ugly thing especially in small communities and villages. Poor boy lost his life over grown ups shortcomings and stupidity.

The sketch, insulin, the statement, the absence in school and bus of Muriel and so many more things lead to bernard Laroche, Muriel plays a great role in this.

It’s too hard to watch crimes against children.

Just watched it. I was shocked when jean ker mentioned about a journalist who said ' wouldn't it be a much nicer story if the mother killed the boy?' wtf???
and he actually did a big role in making chrisitine a witch. And even his wife was still scoffing at poor christine in the funeral video like if she was acting. Even it had been over 20 years since she was found innocent. What a disgusting thing.

I just watched the docu-series for the first time. Without really knowing who killed this poor child, I truly feel that the extended family had something to do with it. The Brother, the cousin and the sister-in-law. Not the mother of the child.

I was glad to see the initial judge taken off the case, and a more fair and just Judge take over. He really tried to do a fair and balanced investigation of the case, using complete discretion, even though nothing has been solved. Something that was never done.

This was so sad.

The photographer makes me sick. He only cared about a story, laughed about it throughout the docu and showed no emotion through the funeral and admitted to shoving a camera in her face when she collapsed after repeatedly being told to stop filming and photographing, he says the whole of the interview that it was such a good story and he “hit the jackpot” when taking his baby photos to put in the news articles. what a disgusting man!!!

How ignorant to say "the only person crying at his funeral is the culprit", the culprit is most definitely not crying it's his mother that's in pain from losing her child. I hated the one journalist that just came off rude acting as if his mother was be dramatic she and the father were suffering and everyone was just running around to get a story making a joke of it all. Sadly though the mom should have of course been watching him. R.I.P. little one.

Episode 3, 0:30:20 - Journalist asks: Are you innocent?
Bernard Laroche replies: “Yes I am innocent”
0:30:23 The spouse’s mocking smile is so disturbing! Her entire facial expression confirms he just lied. Priceless moment.

Investigators did the writing tests but what about the phone call tests? Were the suspects subjected to speaking on a phone? I ask this because it is possible nowadays using spectrogram audio technology to try to narrow down a lot of information about voice, something that was just impossible even a few years ago. I’m an audio enginner and all i can say is that there have been a lot of recent developments in audio restoration during the last years. I wonder if there are any public records of the suspects talking on a phone back in those days...
