Was downsizing from a 3 bedroom home to a 32 foot Class A when my wife passed before we could start our travels so just kept downsizing to a 24 foot Class C, no slides, full time . It's fine for just me and my little dog, but not sure how a smaller Class C would be long term for a couple .As for driving, parking, boondocking, moochdocking etc it beats the A hands down . I use my overhead for storage, lighter stuff, quite handy .My rig is plain jane, not near as fancy as what you are in, but it's home . This small a home is great incentive for cleanliness, if you don't wash the breakfast dishes the kitchen looks like you never clean . Good luck with your experiment in livin' large by living small . P.S., I reevaluated and got rid of stuff for eight months before everything fit in my RV .

Good luck to you both.
I downsized 18 months ago. I went from a 38' TT to a 26' TT. I had to make a trip to the food bank to drop off 3 bags from my pantry; 2 bags of clothes to Goodwill from my walk-in closet and 1 trip to Re-Store with tools. I'm a full timer and thought I needed everything. Now I'm so much quicker set up/breakdown. And no more stressing "big rig friendly" campgrounds.

We lived in a 25' Tiffin Wayfarer for three years and loved it: 49 states, 10 provinces, 56 national parks, still married.

Yesterday my 40' Class A went up for sale. I'm moving back to my 23' bumper pull. 40' is glorious once it is set up. The smaller camper costs 1/10 as much to maintain. ...and the Class A breaks ALLOT! he smaller one is fully functional. It offers far more options as far as where to park it. I boondocks 6 months of the year with my dog. You my friends have a bit of adjusting to do. You won't just survive, you will thrive.

It looked like you had only 2 scrawny solar panels, until I saw you bring in 900 Watts! I love it.

We downsized from a 40 foot diesel pusher to a 30 foot class C jayco greyhawk! We absolutely love it! Smaller campgrounds are no problem anymore!

We downsized from 3600 sq ft house to 1800 sq ft house. We learned fast what we needed and what we never used. Like I told you at Winnebago, it is a “mind set”, our 23v View has plenty of room and outdoors is you living room because of where you can go that an “A” can’t. We mooched on a friends drive right after Camp Winnebago for a week. Good times!

We also use the overhead bed for storage but installed a pickup truck tailgate net to keep things from falling out. Finding campsites and parking spots that we fit into is a breeze. Ours is a 25 ft Class C and we absolutely love it! Five years plus and counting

REMEMBER, Diesel Not Gas! 😁… You guy will love it!
I absolutely love my new Tiffin Wayfarer!
I too had a new Class A Coach, but realized how limited I was in my travels.
I will never ever go back to a large coach.
It’s so fun and easy!
It’s such a pleasure to drive!
I drive it more than my husband.
I even drive it to the market, I take out for a day of shopping with friends or family!
It’s so cozy! There’s no stress whatsoever so ever!
I’m so in love with my new wayfarer!
Have fun!

I've gone from a 30' Class A to a 31' Class C and now I'm setting up an E250 Ford van as a camper. As an individual nomad I've come to realize that all I need is a warm dry place to cook and sleep in. I actually enjoy driving my van. Between the maintenance and the nuts on the road the RVs felt like a chore. Also, I can stealth camp much easier now. Additionally, with all of the advances in 12 volt appliances and storage cabinets etc. there really isn't much discomfort in smaller setups.😊😊

I hope that you find that smaller is better!

Safe travels to all!

We love our 25" leisure travel van. Not full timing though. Can go just about anywhere and love all the options on the Mercedes chassis. Wants and needs. You find out fast what you need and things you don't.

A fun 6 week vacation. However, for full-timing that Murphy bed & complete lack of personal space would have me counting the days until I could go “home”.

We LOVE our Winnebago View based on the Mercedes Sprinter. Drives like the Honda Odyssey van I used to have. Hope you love "living little". My sis-in-law has a 39' 5th wheel and our View makes her claustrophobic, LOL! You'll love being so nimble! Have fun!

We sold our 3000 sq ft home and moved into a 2019 Winnebago View. We are criss crossing the US right now. Left Florida in May and traveled northwest to Washington and will travel down the Pacific Coast Highway to complete our goal of camping in all of the lower 48 states. Then head east to Albuquerque NM for the ballon fiesta. From there we head up to New England to visit family and then back to Florida for the winter. In all, a little over a 10, 000 mile trip. Our View has performed incredibly well so far but I would kill for those side opening doors on the outside storage bins. Ours open up which means we have to climb under them to get at stuff. Not the best design Winnebago but everything else is great with this RV. Save travels you two.

Those Mercedes don’t have much payload so you’d better weigh after loading up.

Moving in was a big start..and yes I can only imagine how many times you have moved 'stuff'..This will be a learning experience for all. THANKS for sharing.

Thanks for the video. I look forward to seeing how y'all like the smaller rig. I like the idea of the small diesel pusher like you have but also the flexibility in travel of the Navion/View sized motorhome. We have a travel trailer now and are looking at going one of those two ways or maybe a shorter 5th wheel.

I'm sure this will be a change that will take some adjusting.
Big difference is knowing you can go back .
You are doing the part now that drives me nuts, being used to having things in a certain spot, now in a different spot.
I'm quite certain y'all will be OK and come out unscathed.
God bless and y'all stay safe in your new home.

We have had every type of RV. That size was way better than the van. But it had so much less capacity for payload. We could easily do it for a week or so, but a long journey would be tougher. We love our tiffin 33A.
