When my dad got cancer I moved back in with him at 32 to help him since he's already an old fart and on top of that, treatment whooped his ass. I lived too far to make the trip back and forth each day so I just decided to move in.

Told a girl I was crashing back with my dad (meanwhile she's couch surfing with a different friend almost every night) and she goes on to tell me how unattractive it is to be 32 back with my dad. I was like dude, my dad has cancer, I came back to help him and she says "well couldn't you have just got a place closer to him instead of moving in?"

I replied with, "well couldn't you have just got a place closer to your friends instead of sleeping on their couches?"

She then proceeded to tell me that she wasn't gonna "let a man judge her situation". I just lol'd and ✌🏻out.

Best part is, my old man is cancer free. ❤️

I got told once that because (at the time) I was 41 and had never been married that typically it meant red flags to her. I replied...."I find it interesting being told that by a divorced woman." She just stared at me and then said, "it's because it shows you might be phobic to commitment." My reply...."says the one who is divorced."

I talked to a lady once who said, after we set up the first date, that she still had feelings for a guy who didn't agree to go out with her. I told her then we can't go on a date. she asked, "why not?" I said, "why would I? So I can get emotionally invested several dates/weeks into getting to know you just to have all that ruined by 1 phone call from this guy?" She said, "well that's what I get for being honest." I replied, "being honest isn't the problem. having a heart for someone else is. You shouldn't date if you're emotionally unavailable."

I went on a blind date once and this girl asked what I did for a living. I explained to her that I am a service technician for a material handling equipment company. I go to the customer and repair and maintain their fleet. She responded "so like a mechanic". I told her essentially yes. She responded with" I don't think I could ever see myself with someone who doesn't have a career and just a job". I work 4days T-F, 3day every weekend, start my day in my driveway in a company van health and retirement benefits are amazing, and I clear about 85k a year. The she seriously sits there and tells me she only works part time at TJ Max, had zero Formal Job Training or any form of education outside of high school.😂😂 I put 40$ on the table told her to enjoy her night and immediately left.
