On August 20, 2024, Dr. Brown was joined in his studio in North Carolina by Rabbi Yisroel Blumenthal. This video represents the complete, unedited dialogue they had on that day. Since the year 2000, Dr. Brown has published more than 2,000 pages of material pointing to Jesus as Messiah and responding to Jewish objections to Jesus. Rabbi Blumenthal, for his part, has published several hundreds of pages of responses to Dr. Brown’s writings, and in this dialogue, Dr. Brown responds to many of the most important questions raised by Rabbi Blumenthal in his writings. Dr. Brown and Rabbi Blumenthal hope and pray that God’s truth will be advanced through their interaction.

Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus, vol. 1 - 5

For a full listing of Rabbi Blumenthal’s relevant responses, he has provided this detailed outline:

Prior to the meeting I sent Dr. Brown a selection of questions from those 3 works and we agreed that the format of our meeting would primarily consist of me asking him the questions and his responses. We did try to stick to that format but naturally the discussion went beyond the planned format.

We ended up discussing 8 questions and we hope that you find the recording educational.
The following is a basic timeline of the questions as well as links to articles that I had written in the past on the subjects that came up in the discussion."

Question #1 – The Totality of Scripture – 3 minute point

Question # 2 – Faith Structure – 22:08 minutes

Question # 3 – Who Replaced the Sacrifices? – 47:13 – minutes

Question # 4 – Deuteronomy 30 – 1:46:55 – hours and minutes

Question # 5 – Deuteronomy 4:35 – 1:59:30 – hours and minutes

Question # 6 – Bias – 3:09:47 – hours and minutes

Question # 7 Obedience and Self-Righteousness – 3:41:21 – hours and minutes

Question # 8 The Ability of the Law to Transform – 3:44:20 – hours and minutes

Respect for rabbi Blumenthal. The fact that he agreed to engage in this discussion means he's a truth seeker. I pray that he has a Saul like revelation on the road to Damascus. He was in a similar situation.

When The rabbi said he threw many knockouts punches but you never fell down, I laughed so hard, good discussion I hope God opens the Jewish people’s eyes.

Towards the beginning of this video, I was not convinced that this Rabbi was interested in hearing and engaging in good faith with the Christian perspective, but as the video went on, I became much more impressed. My genuine prayer is that this conversation can be a catalyst for our Jewish brothers to come to know the saving grace and redemption of our Lord and Saviour, Yeshua Hamashiach.

Thank you Rabbis Brown and Blumenthal. I was raised by a Jewish mother who sent me to an Orthodox Hebrew day school from age 5-12. My father’s family are Christian and disowned us. I had a deep distrust and disdain for Christianity as a result of this rejection which was exacerbated by other antisemitic experiences. I fell away from Judaism and ended up in the new age for 20 years. I finally reached a low point where I cried out to God to please show me the truth, that I was done rebelling and God led me directly to Jesus both materially and supernaturally. A lifetime of anxiety, depression, unworthiness, judgment of self and others was lifted. I was unable to do any bit of this myself and Orthodox and Reform Judaism did not ever heal my heart nor change my ways. The Church has absolutely given Jews many reasons to run far away from Yeshua and this is sadly not a reflection of our Jewish messiah but of human corruption and lack of adherence to his teachings. For my Jewish family, I love you so much. Forget the Rabbis and the Christian Pastors and humble yourselves, ask God directly to show you the truth ❤

I enjoy dialogue like this. While there is disagreement, its civil and a "conversation". Great work!

Jesus asks Peter, who do you say that I Am? When Peter correctly declares Him to be The Messiah, Jesus tells him to not think himself smarter or better than the others because this revelation is a gift from God. Praise God for His revealing Himself to us believers and keep the others in prayer as there is no intellectual revelation outside of a spiritual one first. Thank you Dr Brown as your answers may be unintelligible to this Rabbi but to someone in the audience it could be life changing.

Dr. Brown - I am so very deeply moved and grateful for this exchange. What a special blessing this conversation is for us now and especially for the future. Baruch HaShem, this is love. This is the example of how Messianics and Jewish Rabbi's come together in honest dialog.

Adonai bless Rabbi Blumenthal and Dr. Michael L. Brown.
