Great video as usual! I honestly like my official tracker extensions, I just hope the newer cables are in-fact better... My v1 cables lasted about 6 months or so. For the straps, I ended up 3D printing some strap hooks to make it easier to get on and off since I hated the velcro. The straps also just don't quite work for some people's bodies, so there's definitely a lot of improvement needed in general for them. There's some really neat development being done to improve Slimes in the future, so hopefully some of those issues can be fixed in later versions.

Well, I will say I have heard a lot about slime, but if these Eros trackers are basically the same but with a kind of better quality of life type of deal, then it's something I may check out in the future

Only real difference between them is they use EM7180, as opposed to the cheaper BNO085 used in production slimes (main reason slimesVR has a long order window is these IMU's have a supply shortage). Magnet pass through aspect seems pretty janky from a EE perspective, it would of been better for them to at least use pogo's. (also foresee those magnets losing their Nickel coating real fast with them being surface to surface like that.)

Will definitely look into this for sure, been using Official slimes and DIY ones for a while now. I broke one of my official ones a while back and the DIY trackers I made I used the cheapest possible boards for them so they desync very quickly. I like the idea that I can buy just one if I need just one versus with Slimes I'm forced to buy a whole set if I need just one. Thanks for the video! Definitely subbed

Problem I see is that using magnetic connectors means you cannot use the magnetometer for autocalibration/antidrift There are builders that use silicone wires with fully strain relieved.

I like using venti slime trackers, they come with a little charging box that uses the cable they come with

And it's even more expensive than regular slimes, I looked at it yesterday, so pricey, VIVE Tracker level of premium.
