Ryan tests out the brand new TaylorMade Stealth HD irons which are new for 2023 and join the existing Stealth irons family. If you are looking for a confidence inspiring iron that offers exceptional forgiveness whilst not sacrificing on distance or feel then this could be an iron worth testing out this year.

The TaylorMade Stealth HD irons are aimed at the game improving high handicap golfer who wants a golf club offering performance and forgiveness. The Stealth HD features a large wide sole to help move the weight deeper to help get the ball in the air and launched higher. Additionally, the irons feature a slight offset draw bias set-up to help to make it easier to square the face and limit fades and slices.

Finally, to aid with the performance and feel the irons features a hollow head cap back construction including speed pockets.

Find out how Ryan got on when testing the clubs at his indoor fitting centre at Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds.

As a high handicapper, they look great to me. I suspect they’d be a good starting set for seniors in combination with a few XL hybrids to replace long irons.

Perfect for me, after testing normal clubs, these just singed of the club and made me smile. What’s not to like about golf 👍

I have cleveland uhx at the moment but still high handi, just wondering if these will be even easier to hit over my uhx’s. I’m not a traditional player I just want scores coming down so don’t care what they look like.

Seems good for a high handicapper but man the looks of them are hard to get past.

I’d like to see the test with a club speed of an average golfer… not a pro who doesn’t need these clubs…

Cleveland, Cobra, Wilson and Adams have made these for years. Stop acting like this is new tech

For a high handicap or a person just starting, I'm sure they are overpriced for someone just getting in the game. Yeah nothing new, it's been done for years.

People use giant drivers, etc now and are excited to pay $600 for the new one but can’t accept a slightly larger and better designed iron that goes as far and is easier to hit than irons designed with engineering from 200 years ago, no experience we have today, no new metals or AI input. Whatever. Pay your money and make your choice.
