2018 Can-Am Spyder RT-LTD! | Epic Display! | Storm and GoPro Audio Issues..!

2018-02-17: I haven’t spent but an hour with the system, but this is what I’ve figured out on my own to this point…
Hooked up my windproof mic setup on the Hero 6 Black and completely forgot that the Smart Record function doesn’t work with the external mic connected! The camera has to be turned on prior to hitting the record button...

We got walloped by the winds up here. Knocked down huge trees and blocked the roads, took out the power yesterday afternoon until late this afternoon, and moderate snow today!

On android, you can set other devices as "trusted devices" that way when you are connected to them, the phone will unlock. So if you set up the bluetooth connection with the Spyder you can add the Spyder as a trusted device and the phone will unlock. I don't have any experience with iPhones but I would imagine they have a similar feature.

Hi Shawn, my name is Neal from down under Sydney Australia. My wife and I brought a second hand 2012 RT LTD.
The problem I have need to know how to contact my Samsung A70 to the bike through Bluetooth.
I have gone through the menu settings and unable to work out how to do this if it is possible on the 2012 model.
Your help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the apps but can I not play music and just listen to my directions? I don’t want both music and directions playing when I don’t know where I’m going just directions. I can’t get it to do that.

Shawn, does it mean that if you do not have your smart phone connected the GPS and other apps will not work. That seems real weird to make you have your phone hard wired to the Spyder for some things to work. Cannot wait for you to discover and show us more about that display. Increase your "time out" time before you ride. Change it back when you're done.
Set up a "rule" for it in your task manager app, if you have one. Then set up a shortcut to it on your home screen. Tap it on, tap it off. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

What if you set your phone to never lock while you’re using it on the bike? If you stop to get gas or a bottle of water your phone will stay connected when you return to the bike and continue. Would that be a possibility?
