I think you're misunderstanding the great reset. It's just a different way of designing kits / characters. Doesn't make anything obsolete.

It's just a balancing mechanism. Illuminati will be fine to invest in, not a waste at all.

I'm so glad I didnt rush through DD7. Just waiting on Ares to start global with BK and cabal as I have those 4 ready.

I will then wait on the newer toons for cosmic. The wait was totally worth it.

Telling people OML is gonna be obsolete is laughable. Ever think they are increasing base stats but lowering boosts from passives and teams? They aren’t just gonna power creep and keep the same complex abilities. (The reason they are putting more into base stats to make the abilities less intricate)

I see what you’re getting at, but it’s extreme to say every current character will be obsolete after Ares. That would be crazy of Scopely to do in general, but also financially…..which is probably most important to them. I have been upgrading less and saving more resources lately, but not doing anything until post Ares sounds boring. What you’re saying could happen, but for the sake of the game, hopefully not

Great informative video with this one, will really be a wonder to see what happens after ares comes into the game. I wanted to ask, what software do you use to record your gameplay? I noticed Mac software and am in a similar situation.

I think ares is one a kind. I don’t see SS or ultimus getting reworked enough with annihilators to be anywhere near those thresholds

Is there a possibility that only Ares will carry these super high stats? He is meant to be a "standalone" "plug and play" character.

I agree about the big jump in stats, but i disagree that everything else will be irrelevant. It's not like 10 new teams drop on day 1 with increased stats, so we're going to get to use our roster for a while. Now, eventually, they'll be a dozen new teams with crazy stats that take the place of older teams, but thats happening now, so I dont see much of a change...

So at least for now, if you want mephisto you need to build up at least 4 of the mythic characters. I feel after Apoc and SuS, you gotta pick at least 2 to take up to 100…. Until they make more mythics

But what about characters who survived "the great reset" e.g. Emma still used today no matter her stats. I get where you're coming from, but some of the recent kits are so extreme that they will last for ages. Also, certain abilities like Apocs empowered punch does percentile damage, so more health just equates to more damage. Not investing in illuminati will evidently just result in CC losses.

Just unlocked Super skrull & Big boy apocalypse at the right time . I have OML maxed out . Not in a rush to start DD7 but I’m about to hoard cores/gold/materials for ares. Any thing else is just gravy
