How to repair vinyl flooring!

I'm a jack of all trades master of none, so I am no expert in any particular trade but watch as we repair vinyl flooring at my mother's place.

Thank you for the demo, it was helpful today. Several linoleum spots in need of repair, some surface ripples and some surface tears, from my careless moving of the refrigerator. I heated them all with a hairdryer to soften the surface, smoothed and flatted them with old credit cards/gift cards while the spots were still warm. That alone was enough to repair the surface ripples and one of the small tears appeared to weld back into the surround. The larger surface tear still needed some straightening so I put a non-stick teflon sheet over it and went over the tear with the edge of a very warm iron. Once cooled, I lifted the tear flaps and put cement under them with a toothpick. The tears have credit cards/gift cards and hand weights on them, waiting to dry. So far, so good.

I just moved into a new place. The movers ruined my new landlord’s linoleum brick floors in several places. They dropped their dolly and many cuts in the floor. Is it repairable or just have to replace all the flooring?

Thank you Roomie. Good job "paying it forward." I have two cuts or rips in a bedroom right in the doorway. They have been there a while and dirt has collected under the flooring. My big concern is lifting the edge of the vinyl with out damaging it further, and prepping the sub surface and actual vinyl. I suspect that it is glued down. I am hesitant to start. Doyou have any words of encouragement for me, please?

TU tuck tape but what was that glue or glue stuff in the tube?

That's good. And you heat to soften and better accept the glue ?
