I've been doing this upright for years. I stand in doorway, facing frame, hand on shoulder and elbow up, like you. Now I lean in, putting elbow as high as possible up side of doorframe, push elbow higher and sink into the frame until chest touches frame. Hold. When coming away, keep hand on shoulder and release slowly. Do other side. Can also be done, carefully, up street lamps when out.

Matt's knowledge of hips, knees and shoulders is great. Matt, I think it's time we work on elbows cause I broke mine 3 years ago and could use some help on getting back strength in my arms.
