Sheriff says man wrongly arrested was fired from job

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to announce that his agency made a mistake during a recent drug roundup.

This is a Sheriff I'd work for, honest and humble. This was something he didn't have to do, but did to set the record straight. Good man.

A lot of respect to this sheriff and his department. Taking accountability is something sorely missed in this day and age.

He apologizes, then puts the fact that the "innocent" guy has been clean for three years, out there. He put the man on blast again. He ensured that the entire community knows that the man was involved with drugs in the past. Then he preaches about second chances, after greatly diminishing that dudes second chance of a normal life. What an absolutely botched apology.
