I run a Mooer Preamp Live with an HX Stomp. Same ideas as 3:35 - really flexible and great sounds.

1:05 Awesome video, as usual, congratulations, but, yes, you can do that with the AF 6! You can assign 2 switches for preset up and down, either by individual presets or by tens. It´s on page 52 of the manual, in case other owners want to try. The AF6 is a lot of fun, incredibly natural and organic sounds, I've had mine for a month, only, it makes me want to play more. Cheers from Brazil, and keep up your fantastic work here on YT.

100% on point Leon. Informative and instructive as usual. Thumbs up.

digital shill? LOL. Dude at the rate the industry pumps out these all in one units, and how many there are out there, its a sh*tload of consumer overload. With that, I'd rather say, Digital Informant. Someone who takes time out of their day to show me the goods in an honest manner is okay with me. thanks leon for what you do!

I realize you're kidding! You're about the only guy who handles all approaches, as I've said before, indiscriminate. You want a MP1, through a Mesa amp, Vintage 30 up against a Marshall JCM, up against an Axe FX, up against an Amplifier, up against Bias FX? LEON TODD's the man for the job. Hell of a player too!

6 and should have done the 3 as well!
Since all computer-based and modeler, I'm sure there is no tonal difference in the 3, 6, or 12 if the settings are the same!!

You got a subscriber here. I was torn between hx stomp and aa6 and you made solid points so I’m getting a 6. Love your videos brother

Thanks for comparing these! It's pretty cool now that there are so many products that can give us good tones going direct. I remember the old Zoom 9000S. Good clean tones, but the crunchy tones left something to be desired, especially in comparison to then.

Man I really like your videos, thank you for this. A while ago I had an amplifire with 3 knobs, loved that thing. The playing didn't feel as organic, responsive and tube-like as my Axe FX 2 and the sound was not as rich but that electronic tight compression it had made it sound almost better, more powerful, tight and in your face. I went with the Fractal and sold the other but the choice was not that easy. The Atomic was so light, I could throw it in the air, 2 backflips and catch it back no problem. I made a comparison of them on my channel. On the waiting list for an FM3, very excited but I think fractal could find inspiration in Atomic's pedal format, that 6 and 12 combination is killer !

I'm actually happy with the normal one (the one that came out before the 6).

Atomic Amps AmpliFire 6 & Morningstar MC6 vs Atomic Amps AmpliFire 12. The former will cost a bit more but would give you more options for different setup scenarios. Alternately paired with the Boss MS-3 which would add relay switching when mixing it with an analog amp/hybrid setup \m/

Hi Leonn, in 2023 would you recommend getting any of these?

Stupid question: Its greatr to play with the Atomic 12 through headphones but taking it on stage (volume etc) after you have your presets already set seems to be a big challenge. Is there any way you could make a video on how to convert to stage volume etc after you sit on the computer and set yourt pedalboard up? Maybe also a video on the different ways to preset the pedals (A<>B) etc??

The 12 has an On/Off switch. I find that another nice little thing.

I know it aint as flexible but for me the tech 21 wipes the floor with this pedal. it sounded so harsh and digital that after 2 weeks I lost my nerve and sent it back. I have not regretted it for one minute. I really was shocked by how much I had grown to dislike it. Give me a tech 21 any day. Pity it has no presets though

With the 6, is it possible to send the IR signal only out the Left channel to FOH, and the right channel (no IR) to a stage cab?

Most (if not all) of the videos for either of these units haven't really explored the expression pedal capabilities in relation to the unit's onboard wah, pitch shifting, and modulation effects. If the 6 were being used as the centerpiece of an existing pedalboard, those sorts of functions would be a big factor I think. What's been your experience using the expression functionality? #expressyourself

Thanks for this video! I'm impressed with how you make this units sound. They have dual IR loading, to program a stereo IR cabs output?

Hello,
First, very informative and honest review/comparison video! Thank you for posting. Can you tell me if external dual foot pedal parameters can be stored for each saved preset on the unit? more specifically, 1 external pedal for gain control and 1 external pedal for volume? This very basic feature was lacking in the Line6 Live and is ONE of the reasons I got rid of it. Thanks in advance for your time and efforts.

Too complicated for me. I'm an analog man. I've been playing for 35 years and i still plug the cables in backwards on my pedals. But it's fun to watch anyway. LOL
