if you are citizen in which country kailangan manumpa ka na ikaw ay may citizenship ka rin as American, so, therefore you are notcwholly and fully folipino citizen so, therefore disqualified ka sa pag papatakbo ng mass media company dahil ang nakasaad sa aging saligang batas only for filipino citizen no other nationality can own a mass media company.

I hope that the lawmakers and bill sponsors stick to the issue of legalities and violations and not waste their time lawyering for abs. No amount of heaping praises can absolve an entity accused of any wrongdoings. It will be prudent to tackle the issue head-on to clear the air of suspicion. If you are campaigning for the granting of a new franchise you know very well that this will not be conceded by just narrating how good ABS-CBN has been or because you and most of us have benefited from it by providing news and amusement. This is not the real issue nor press freedom is. All of you are right, the company has been at the forefront of information dissemination even if most of the time it is biased. It has provided great entertainment even if most of the content borders on prejudice, insults, racism, machismo, and sexism. What is more relevant now are the questions, did it violate any philippine laws with direct reference to labor and taxes and did it operate and function based on existing corporate regulations as provided by law? If none of these ever existed then I don't see any reason why it should not be allowed to operate. Until then, let's forego diluting the disputes with emotional discourse and adhere to the letters of the law.
