Tara Talks - Guided Practice: When the Pain is Too Strong

Kevin W. Having Chronic Pain Compartmentlize the pain is all most impossible ... but through Practice, &, Presence I can Accept this, &, When I Embrace the concept of living with my pain. Thus I can be Mindful of it's presence, but not that it is who I am ! Much practice ... Thank you

I have a group on Facebook of over 3, 500 members called "Attitude of Gratitude with Chronic Pain." We have been in existence for over 4 years and choose to live with our chronic conditions with gratitude and positivity with a strict "no complaining allowed" rule. We quite often have what we call "5 Minute Breath Breaks" where we are mindful of our breathing. I quite often post your videos in the group and "The Dance with Pain" has been a long time favorite of ours. I am posting this beautiful new video in the group right now as an addition to our tools in ways to live with sometimes extreme pain. Thank you, Tara, for your words of advice....they are so comforting.

Thanks for this message. It's am important message to hear when too often implicit spiritual demands are placed upon us to always feel, be mindful, face our fears, etc....

Thank you for a helpful talk which addressed a question that I had for some time. A further question- can this practice be applied to emotional distress, as well as to physical pain? Are there any particular approaches that are suitable for dealing with emotional pain?
