oh my god carys I can completely relate to everything you're saying! Life is mundane at the moment, and I think it's these times which make us crave the future more. Like you, part of me feels so excited to leave home and discover life outside the small town I live in, but then I'm also so scared to leave because time has gone so fast. It's a clash between being excited for what's to come but grieving the childhood that's ending so soon.

wanting to leave home but also not wanting to leave i GET IT it feels silly to say out loud because it is a literally contradiction, but it’s like getting bored of ur routine and wanting to get on with life and experience loads of exciting new things - but also home provides comfort and that change is such a big scary thing that u cant really go back on? but it’s not even like it’s a decision u can make and super duper control, because it almost catches up with u no matter what happens? crazy :’) but lowkey travelling in the summer is the only thing getting me thru a levels atm ☠️ cant bare to think about sitting in that silly little exam hall in a couple of months
