Can RLCraft Leave Lasting Mental Scars?

The follow up to "RLCraft Gives Me Nightmares - Ep 1". The RLCraft Modpack for Minecraft by Shivaxi looked interesting, so I wanted to give it a shot. RLCraft is hardcore, unforgiving and brutal, but it's a lot of fun.

What is RLCraft:
RLCraft is a hardcore realism modpack for Minecraft (Minus all the mythical creatures...) RLCraft makes Minecraft incredibly difficult and you'll see that here, in episode 1.

Okay, Forge, since I’m not seeing many super helpful comments I shall try to help.

In RLCraft the coords are hidden, as you discovered. I don’t know how to figure them out with any tools, but, assuming that 1: diamond and bedrock generation is same in RLC as it is Vanilla MC, and 2: that there is bedrock around y=0 instead of empty void or lava, what you can do to find y12 is dig down (NOT STRAIGHT DOWN) and hollow out a small area till you find an area as I describe: there should be bedrock in the floor you walk on, perhaps sprinkled with stone in between blocks— but you should be able to see bedrock in the floor without actually walking INTO bedrock. So, basically find the lowest depth you can go while still walking across a perfectly flat area. That is y=0~1. Then just count up from there, one block, two block, three block, until you count up 12 blocks. That’s y=12.

The infinite water source is as follows, BUT, I’m basically positive it doesn’t work in RLCraft even when constructed right. There are 2 kinds of infinite water source, a 2x2 and a 3x1. In the 2x2, no matter where water is taken from, it should be replenished. In the 3x1, only the middle block (the second one) will be infinite. So, I’ll use square emojis to show how you dig out your hole. If the squares are blue, you will end up placing water sources there.

3x1:
🟦⬜️🟦 (Where the center white square is an infinite source)

2x2:
🟦⬜️
⬜️🟦 (where technically any of the four squares are infinite)

But like I said
It doesn’t work in RLCraft. Only in traditional Minecraft (or with less mods I guess)
I would check through some crafting recipes and see if there is any specialty block in RLCraft that could purify water automatically and infinitely for you.

I don’t know where to find enchanting tables in RLCraft, but I do know they can be crafted. I can’t remember if you already have some obsidian in your chest anymore, but if not, you can mine it with a diamond pickaxe. You'll need 4 pieces of obsidian. Then take 2 diamonds and a book to your crafting table (assuming it’s still the same crafting recipe as in vanilla minecraft) and craft it as such:

⬜️📖 ⬜️
💎 ⬛️💎
⬛️⬛️⬛️ (With white squares being empty spots)

Then to use it with maximum efficiency, pick a space for your table and place it on the ground. ( You can pick it back up with a diamond pick axe if you want to move it later) Then surround it with 2-high bookshelves, with a walkway space between the table and the bookshelves. I’ll show you a bird’s eye view with emojis:
📚📚📚📚📚
📚⬜️⬜️⬜️📚
📚⬜️💎⬜️📚
📚⬜️⬜️⬜️📚
📚📚⬜️📚📚

(with the 📚 being 2 bookshelves stacked atop one another and the 💎 being the enchantment table, white squares being open walking space.)

The table will work without being surrounded by bookshelves, but the more bookshelves surrounding the table (maxing out at the quality shown above), the table will be able to give you better enchantments. Without bookshelves, the table cannot give some of the more powerful enchantments such as flame, infinity, depth strider, feather falling 4, etc. you can also use anvils to combine enchanted items or books; if you have two bows enchanted with “power 1”, you can put them both in the anvil to combine them into a “power 2” bow.

I hope this is helpful! I absolutely love watching this series!!! I love watching you learn and get better, try new things. Even if it doesn’t work out, you pick yourself up and try again, a different approach. It’s incredible fun and I’m looking forward to the next episode!!!

EDIT: holy CroW on A CorNdOG SticK ya'll absolutely blew this up...! TYSM!
For everyone asking "how, " I've actually written an entire novel, plus about 6~ unpublished stories, some of which are still in the works, so... I can actually type with my eyes closed at this point XP
Also, I've been playing Minecraft since zombies dropped feathers. A Very Long Time. I also listen to Minecraft videos while I work on projects often, so I've picked up a lot of little tips through the years. Thank you all so much for all your support!!

Hey forge, here are some things that will help you a lot.
9 heart dust crafts a heart shard, and 9 heart shards craft that heart crystal that permanently increases your health
There's a second skill tree. Press L. This new skill tree has the iron skin skill that decreases the damage you receive
Try to get that Dragon's Eye. Once you got it, you will be immune to the dragon's fire breath (but he can still kill you by eating you or by shooting explosive projectiles)
There's an amulet called Stone of the Sea that makes you immune to the thirsty status effect

Some tips for RLcraft:
1) Farm blocks are irrigated 4 blocks out in every direction from a single water block. All you need is one block puddle (centered) to irrigate an entire 9x9 field. The 2 block rows you've been using (like the villager farms) are inefficient uses of space. This is important for the next
2) Make a giant wheat farm for EXP. Six 9x9 farm plots of wheat will give you about 24 levels of experience every few days when you harvest. Great for leveling up skills and talents (L key). Just be ready for at least one nature elemental spawn when harvesting that much.
3) Start raising talents (L key) such as smelting, prospecting, treasure hunter and lumberer as soon as possible. These can be boons for gathering resources.
4) Yes, RLcraft hides Y coords on purpose. You can still eyeball roughly where the y12 level is from the top layer of bedrock. Lava pools will be right below your feet at that level (always bring a water bucket).
5) When mining in RLcraft, mine blocks at the maximum distance you can reach so elementals don't spawn on top of you. Also, your torches in your tunnels will eventually burn out so get more permanent lighting or seal off unused tunnels. If you don't all those tunnels will spawn Chupacabras, Creepers and other nasty stuff and you *WILL* lose things.
6) Start breeding sheep in a corral. Lots of wool means lots of bandages (and other stuff). A cattle pen is also useful for leather. Enclose (and light) livestock pens or predators will kill them all. Glass blocks are good for this. (glass is VERY useful)
7) This may sound counter-intuitive but build a house out of glass. Most enemies cannot see (or attack) through glass but you will be able to see everything around you. Obviously, keep your house and land well lit. You can raid villages for permanent torches or make glowstone blocks from glowstone dust.
8) Plant flowers around your home land. Fairies seem to spawn near them often and having fairies nearby is always a good thing. If flowers have light they will slowly spread to other lit dirt blocks.
9) Plant lots of sugarcane around a pond/lake near home. Plant it on sand or dirt blocks directly next to any water block. Let them grow to at least 3 blocks high and break them from the CENTER of the stalk (not the bottom) so they regrow. The paper from sugarcane will be useful for lots of things and combined with the leather from your cows will build important books and bookshelves for your enchanting table.
10) STAY AWAY FROM CAVES until you are well armed and armored. They are death traps in normal Minecraft and even more so in RLcraft.

I can't be the only one that was on the verge of screaming at the screen when he totally ignored the monumental amount of loot in the tower. Seriously, all the spawners just vanish when it collapses, it would've changed everything.

I say you should keep the cave honestly. It's so much safer once lit up over a building outside and unshielded. Things burn so much easier out in the open and plus caves provide lots of hiding and corners to duck around and defend.

The top couple chests in those battle towers can have BLOCKS of diamonds, along with rare bobbles and enchanted loot! When the tower explodes, you can still gather the loot around the base floors. <3 Love the series m8!!
