Highlights from the 2019 Seattle International Martial Arts Championship.

Under these "restricted-step" tournament rules, a point is awarded when the opponent is forced to move both feet.

Although we do not specifically train for this competition format, I believe the fundamental lessons of Tai Chi are relevant everywhere.

Really nice to see competitors smiling whether they win or lose - it is only a game :)

Better pushing than some of the big tournaments. Good stuff

Tai Chi is for people that want to fight but hate violence. They’re like “Hit me first and see what happens!” Then you hit them and they’re like “Hey, not in the face!” 😂

I liked watching the guy in the yellow shirt.

Interesting rule set. Somewhere between the freestyle moving step and fixed step pushing hands that we did in the U.K.

Nice. Has bit of yielding and relaxation.

That little lady looked great but just hard to overcome 100 lb weight difference

More like "shove hands" lol. Good to see at least one competitor (yellow shirt) demonstrate soft power
