I gotta say, I really liked the scenes of ROME itself, the triumph & the majesty of the Emperor Tiberius..Ben Hur 1959 is one of the great epics of the silver screen..This was my first favorite part, the second was the trial, march & crucifixion of Jesus.. Ben Hur may have been a remake, but there have never been an equel, not before or since..It is perfect & will last the ages.🙂💜👌👍

This such a great scene. Absolutely love the music, the scenery, the grand re-watched this scene countless times and thank you for putting it in
on the note of "we give him as your slave to do with him as you like" please hit the "like" (and subscribe) buttons lol. Such is the will of the senate, and the people of Rome.

Let’s see. Tiberius here is played by George Relph.
Andre Morell, Tiberius of THE CAESARS, played Sextus in this film.
George Baker, Tiberius of I, CLAUDIUS, did try out for this film. Footage exists of his audition.

Caesar already knew the answer to the question he asked Quintus Arius.
Is that all you know about him?

Tiberius knows all

What a movie. It holds the test of time because it is spectacular! I use a variation of the line, "Row Well and Live number 41" in my screenplay of Asherah: A Love Odyssey. Most people don't have a clue about the origins of it or the subtext. In fact, the subtext is gone in today's Tic-Tok world. It's not allowed.

- Deus tuus, dum te salvare cupiens, Romanam classem servavit.- Quintus Arius.
