Western Australia is being Gaslit

A handful of predominantly foreign owned gas corporations export 90% of WA’s gas. They receive most of the gas royalty free, contribute less than 2% to WA’s budget, often pay little if any tax and receive enormous taxpayer subsidies.

So why do people think that gas is the backbone of the WA economy?

The east coast doesn't even have a reservation policy like WA has. The increase in electricity prices is almost entirely because of rising gas prices caused by a shortage of gas in one of the worlds largest gas exporters, its a joke.

Why didn’t australia establish anything similar? Not even royalties? What a joke australia is - still a penal colony with no real sovereignty
