Despite this being a Fan trailer, HTTYD Live Action Reboot comes to life. With the same director. Mason Thames and Nico Parker will play Hiccup and Astrid respectively. Gerald Butler reprises his role of Stoik. Nick Frost will star as Gobber.

They’re currently filming the live action How to Train Your Dragon movie at the Titanic Studios in Belfast, Northern Ireland right now. Yeah, who would have guessed: they’re filming in a Celtic country, it’s just a pity it’s inside a studio with a green screen and not outside with real beautiful landscapes. Maybe they might film a few scenes outside, but I get the feeling they’ll just green screen every single scene that has dragons and the village (which will probably be most of the scenes). They need to be following the example of lord of the rings, and use the beautiful Celtic green landscapes to their advantage. Still, I’m interested to see how the movie turns out, when it comes out next June (2025). I loved the animated movies, so they better not mess this up. Turning Astrid into an African was strike one. If she actually does a good job of being Astrid, I might just let that slide. But only if.
