I'm on the fence about this... On the one hand i've wanted a live action for my childhood for ages but if they screw this beloved franchise up.... I gonna feel bad for all the poor people who watch this movie.

HTTYD wasn't even made by Universal though? it was by DreamWorks which isn't Universal

The whole reason why the franchise ended was because they wanted to end it on a high note. Ending it where people still want more, leaving them with a continued love for the franchise before we get tired of it if they were to make too many movies. Now they’re bringing it back, but without the things we loved about the original movies

Since no one else is saying it I will. Hiccups animations are beased on Jay Baruchel's mannerisms as he was doing the voice over. Any Hiccup without Baruchel wont feel like Hiccup Haddoc

I looked at the thumbnail and thought I was gonna see pictures or clips from the live action movie. Was very disappointed when I did not.

There was such a loving spirit behind the original movies. Such joy and adventure. It isn't just the difference between animation and live action. I'm worried that the new movie won't have that sweet emotional connection that the originals do. The originals were made with the heart of a child.

A Bit disappointed that they make life action. They're usually bad when we talk about animated movies. Httyd 1-2-3 are already perfect to me. I hope the Life Action won't disappoint us

Despite the actors and the fact it’s another live action remake, I’m actually excited as it seems like they’re going to focus on the heart of the story. I think their heads are in the right places

The music was a big part of what made the movies so great. I hope they can make another amazing score or even just re-use the old ones. I wouldn't mind some fresh scores if they do it well, but the originals are so good it almost wouldn't feel right if they didn't use them.
