The Bible says Eve was deceived by the serpent but that Adam was fully aware that it was wrong and ate the fruit anyway. If you read on he makes an excuse to God, “But Eve gave it to me to eat.” God didn’t except his lame excuse.

Not only that, but Adam received a direct command from God whereas I'm pretty sure Eve was told by Adam what God said.

He didn’t tell her no or not to do it. He was right there and he let it happen even while knowing that’s what God said not to do. And we women didn’t get off scot free. Our birthing and monthly periods are very painful and we ultimately have to be submissive to what our husband’s decision is (trusting that he’s following God’s wisdom) and that obviously not always the case since we are all sinful.

I still don't think they had to leave the Garden of Eden simply because they sinned, because Adam disobeyed God.

I think the big reason was the fruit they ate. They ate of the fruit of the _knowledge of good and evil_ . That means after eating the fruit, they knew right from wrong, unlike the animals.

Knowing right from wrong, they became responsible for their lives and their actions, and there was no longer a place for them in the Garden of Eden, the garden of innocence.

I honestly took the reasoning to be that Eve was created with Adam’s rib so is therefore “one” with Adam. Just as the thinking behind when a man and woman marry they leave their parents and are joined to each other…when 2 become 1 kind of thing. So, Adam represents their “1” …if that makes sense to anyone else other than me. 🤦🏻‍♀️. I swear it made more sense in my head than it did trying to explain it on paper. 😅

Someone once said to me, “Eve was deceived. Adam sinned.” While Eve was being confused by the serpent, Adam knew what was going on. He didn’t confront the serpent or speak up. He then soberly chose to go against God. It’s interesting that the first sin had to do with a man being passive with a woman.

Pay attention fellas: this same situation will come up in marriage a lot. She’ll try to pick a fight or try to steer the family in a ridiculous direction, and you have to find a way to lovingly steady the ship.

I think it's also because Adam was in charge of protecting and caring for the garden. He failed to prevent the snake from coming in, and he failed to ensure his wife was on the correct spiritual path.

It doesn’t matter what eve did because Adam is the man and he is supposed to be the leader so if Eve ate the apple, it’s because he failed as a leader. As a husband you are supposed to be the spiritual leader of the household. So if your wife is being wicked it’s your duty as the husband to get that under control and keep her from destroying herself and your family. because if women are just left to do as they please, they end up being led by emotions and lust and you end up with a bunch of angry feminist on only fans selling their bodies to the men they say hate and call it empowerment.

Adam was also responsible for informing of of that rule, as I recall. God gave the command not to eat the forbidden fruit specifically to Adam, before Eve’s creation. Therefore, Adam was responsible for ensuring that Eve knew about it and obeyed.

Adam blamed Eve, he went along with it and then denied responsibility for his sin. Eve blamed the serpent. Truly, both man and woman sinned, and because they could sin, and anyone of us would also sin. The really important part is receiving Jesus as the savior of the world and accepting God’s mercy. Adam was there with her. He did nothing to stop her and he failed to guide his family. Then he joined her in the sin he should have stopped her from.
