420 when i use a trellis i like to wait until my plants are 18 to 24 inches tall then i throw the scrog in and bend and weave from there. I also do not top. I like to bend the plants over on their side bringing the top as low as i can to hopefully be even with the lowest side branch. Then it's nothing but tops there on out. THCanks, Martin

The 11/13 flower lighting is working out a treat. Anyone else try it?

Great tip about the setting up the net at the top ahead of time, and just keep it up by the light, I dig it! I had been thinking about a second net lately too, I may try that as well. I enjoy using the net to train early, kinda like a lazy man's LST haha.

I like to do LST first then the trellis net, that way the branches are already trained in the right position when it's time to add the net, then I remove the tie downs after wards and everything is perfect. Makes it much easier.
Happy growing!!

Smoking on some of my homegrown in Oklahoma. Ok so I built my own trellis frame and net that is adjustable and lowered it down over my plants that I had already been softening up with some predending then weaved my main branches through the net and adjusted the spots that were a little to big then secured those main branches to the net for support. And now every few days a tuck the growth back under the closest open hole until UT basically filled up. I'm at that point now so I'll let them get above the net after this last tuck and difoliate the very bottom of everything and clean up under the net and flip to flower. If I run into them getting a little tall during the stretch I'll just rig up some yo-yo's to support the tops in that case. I hope this helped and happy growing yall!

Scrog photos I start bending about the 5th or 6th node and spread any branches if I can yet.
My screen is 3x3 inch squares, hand tied tightly with masons twine and sits about 8 inches from top of the pots.
Plant begins utilizing the screen pretty early making training alot easier.
Spend 2 months in veg typically and at harvest I cut 2 sides of the screen and pull the twine from the plant. Simply chop, drop and off to dry after that.

I would almost say lst is for veg to build your desired canopy, then your trellis net is to stretch your branches out and hold them there but also act as support so those monster buds don’t break your branches in half

I use mine basically as an aid for lst, so I can bend everything down and get more light in

Great tip about putting the trellis in before the plants. Will definitely do that next time

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, and I remember let my plants tell me what they need or want

You're right, there really is no right way to Scrog. I LST until I drop the trellis net.

FOR ME- I don't usually s.c.o.g. in a normal fashion. Even if it is set up. It takes to long to weave through in my opinion. I usually use one net and just let the plant grow through usually by setting up the net a couple inches above the plant before I flip to flower. Using it just for support for the lower part of the plant. What ever works right?
