Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

If more Pastors/Ministers/Priests did this on a regular basis, there would be less false doctrine floating around.

Speaking in tongues is real. However, the devil mimicks God in so many things.

This man was amazing I remember watching him on the weekends on BET he passed away but had the biggest church in Memphis! RIP Pastor G.E. Patterson ❤

Bishop Patterson was the head of the Church of God in Christ denomination for a number of years. This is pretty old. He passed away a while ago. Not sure pastors/ leaders today would have the courage to do what he did.

You have to rebuke the ones who cover their ears and 'speak in tongues' and get louder when you're speaking the word of God. It is not the holy spirit it is a demonic one that needs to be cast out.

I miss Bishop Patterson. I remember him passing and singing at one of the services for his memorial. I didn’t know him personally, but this man was filled with the spirit through and through. His truth telling is obviously what was needed then and a whole lot of it now.

What an honor to see Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson being honored by a generation who had never heard of him before. Such a Biblically SOUND man of God. This is blueprint, sound leadership for the church at large in these last days because Jesus told us MANY false prophets would emerge and we can NOT abide them. Good video!! 🎉

My cousin is a wonderful woman of God and she worked with him for many years. His passing was devastating on her life but yet God's work's still follow her. She's planted many water wells in other countries. Amazing man and woman of God.

Ya'll not ready for Bishop G.E. Patterson. My grams loved him when she was on this side of heaven. A no-nonsense guy taking care of business the way Jesus did it. Shut it down. No time for foolery he was too busy saving souls. Praying we get back to that soon.

Lol! 2 hrs? What black church is that?! Minimum 3 hrs, bring snacks. Yet, who can put a time limit on God?

This is the Church of God in Christ. This was Bishop Gilbert Patterson who was a solid strong man of God. COGIC speaks in tongues. It's the denomination I grew up in, Kansas East Jurisdiction. He was definitely a good man of God, decent and in order. He did not mess around with nonsense. He also preached a great sermon on women wearing pants in church (which he preached for and not against which was very unusual for COGIC and a lot of other Pentecostal religions). My grandfather was the pastor of our COGIC in Kansas City, KS. And yes, the music at COGIC churches is absolutely fantastic.

A little context, Church of God in Christ dates back to 1897, in 1906 it became Pentecostal from the
Azusa Street Revival. The worship
style is loud, exuberant with hand clapping foot stomping along with
the Holy Dance. It is African based.

I grew up in that church, Temple of Deliverance in Memphis, TN. That's my late pastor, Bishop G.E. Patterson. My Dad was a deacon, and I had to be at church 8 days a week. 😭🤦🏾‍♀️ I thank God for parents who kept me in the house of God.
