I saw 8 signs in my 5 year relationship with my ex but I ignored them. It was because I got too comfortable and put him as the center of my joy. After 4+ years long distance relationship, the last 7 months we moved in together and the signs were even more clear, again I ignored them because I was scared to lose him after so many sacrifices I made (leaving my family, my country, my career) until someday out of the blue he called it off. God removed him from my life in a very hard way. I have to find a job again now, my mom is sick, I’m so shattered while he already found a new girl just in 2 months. But what I believe is, I lost him but I found my way back to Jesus. God will restore me. Amen.

What I have learned the hard way in my life is that if somebody doesn't love God they don't love you.

1. Character flaws,
2. If the person is not a believer,
3. If the person acts against God's Word,
4. Lack of peace,
5. When the person is a fire extinguisher,

10. When your parents do not support the person,
11. When the person becomes more important to you than God

The reason some people are not happy is all they think about are their dreams, their problems, their family. You need to take a break from you. It’s not healthy to have you on your mind all the time. Take a break from what’s bothering you. Take a break from what you want, from what you’re believing for, and go be good to somebody else. When you serve others, that’s a seed you’re sowing.

If he shows us these signs, trust in him. My grandma told me once, "God heard something I didn't hear, he seen something that I didn't see, he knows something that I don't know. " so ultimately he's just trying to protect me. Quality over quantity and keep your circle small and God fearing.

20years ago... I was in a situation where I have to think who I need to choose to be with. My ex or my new found love. God is really good and showed me all these signs. Found out that my ex had his partner pregnant but did not marry her. Just so glad God helped me to ran away from him. My new found love... is the one for me... got married and now we're helping each other to do God's will & purpose in our lives.

God is asking us, how long are you going to mourn over what you’ve lost? How long are you going to be discouraged over the relationship that didn’t work out, over the position that you didn’t get, over the loved one that didn’t make it? The problem with continuing to mourn is that it will keep you from the new things that God has for you. Yes, there’s a time for mourning, but you can’t let a season of mourning turn into a lifetime of mourning.

My mom and dad were unequally yoked, however, God had other plans. My dad was an atheist, until he had a heart attack. A preacher asked him if he could pray for him, before going into surgery, my dad said 'go ahead, but I don't believe.' After the surgery, the doctor said my dad's heart started beating on its own, which was unusual to that specific doctor, at that time. He said usually he needed assistance to get the heart beating. This made my dad believe, and he became a man on fire for the Lord.

I was a born again believer I gave my life to Jesus at the age of 16, but because of our family background as RC my parents were not so strong in prayer, this proposal came n i was insisted to marry him, (2008).
I experienced all 9 signs, I ignored them to save my marriage, my marriage lasted hardly for 2 years, as soon as my daughter was born on Dec 2011, we were seperated because his ex girlfriend came back in his life. I always prayed for his salvation n convinced him to visit our daughter atleast once a month, but he always refused, my vision is becoming poor now I lost my job 5 years ago because of my vision, n struggling to service with my 11 years old daughter. However I'm happy about one thing that i can worship my God freely. Please keep me in your prayers. God bless you all.

I stayed in a relationship for 18 years I felt empty and sad eventually had to leave, I stayed in another abusive relationship for 4 years ending up in a psychiatric unit with a nervous breakdown. As a result my family all left as they were ashamed of me. I'm now 66 years old and have lived alone as a single person for the past 19 years. Being single is very hard too and I found it difficult to meet genuine friends. My prayer life is important to me and staying close to Jesus in the scriptures. Looking back now I'm glad I never married any of these people as an unhappy marriage surely must be a HELL on earth.

1. Your eyes open to their character weakness.
2. The person is not a believer (your job is to witness, not convert)
3. The person is acting against the word of God/disobeying God’s word
4. Lack of peace
5. The person is a fire extinguisher (dims your flame for God).
6. God may speak directly to you.
7. Misaligning purpose (lack of teamwork/contribution — not purpose partners)
8. He may speak through your dreams or visions.
