Mt Parnassus is the 3nd highest mountain in Central Greece, after Mt Giona and Vardousia mountains. It is located close to the town of Levadia, the capital town in Voiotia province. Mt Parnassus is divided in West and East Parnassus.West Parnassus is milder, lower and densely forested whereas East Parnassus is much higher, with steeper slopes and an extensive alpine zone. The biggest ravine in mt.Parnassus is Velitsas ravine, which is one of the best places in Greece for mountaineering ski. Apart from Liakoura other high peaks of East Parnassus is Toumborahi (2431m.), Tsarkos (2415m.) and Gerontovraxos (2396m.) . This video is shot during a spring ascent on Liakoura peak.
