Hi guys! We know the sound mixing in this documentary is not ideal and unfortunately, there wasn't much we could do to fix it. However, we still believe the content in the documentary is great and so decided to publish it. We apologise for the issue and hope you enjoy the upload regardless!

I’ve always liked Tony Robinson’s narration and humour it’s been 10 years since I first watched documentaries involving him, I still love him.

Can we just appreciate the dial up sound when he was on the computer

I’m finding the music volume distracting and overwhelms Tony’s narration.

Tony's narrative at the end of the Wallace episode was beyond touching, it was gut punching, amazing and deep. Thank you for the collection.

This was apparently done before Richard III’s remains were found, which confirmed he wasn’t a hunchback. But some other facts are missing from the story, including the two princes being declared illegitimate, which removed any motive for Richard to murder them …

I completely agree with a monument to King Harold. He was certainly one of England’s greatest Kings, if not the greatest Kng.
However, King Harold was not killed with an arrow in the eye. Yes the tapestry was altered. The figure showing the arrow in the eye was altered. Stitching shows that it was likely originally a picture of a footman throwing a spear. What’s more, though Harold’s name is over the figure. That is not the pattern the tapestry is made in. All the other writing describing events, depict the event under the right end of the writing not the left end, where this figure stands. It is the picture shown of a Saxon being hacked down by a charging horseman that is under the right end of the writing. Harold didn’t die with an arrow in his eye. He was overrun by charging Norman Horsemen.

The name Robin Hood could be a play on words: "Robin" for "robbin' (robbing)" and "hood" for a never-do-well. Common words that we are using now in our current history remind me of all sorts of 'non-standard' things.

Yes, it is. I can scarcely hear Tony's always engaging narration.
WHY on earth are ALL these just dreadful, soundwise?

I grew up loving Robin Hood played by Richard Green. My children loved your Maid Marion series. Thankyou Sir Tony.

Very interesting and informative, but I wish the bloody background music would stay in the background!

I’m going to pile on about the truly annoying too loud music throughout the vid. With technology today you’d think that could surely be either eliminated or toned down. I have seen most of these vids in the past and there wasn’t that background. These are such well done programs it’s a shame to ruin the viewing experience with the hideous sounds.

I love these video documentaries. However, the sound needs work. The music which is supposed to be in the background at times overpowers the narrator. The content is superb.
