Pompeii's Graffiti: An Ancient Form of Social Media

In a way, the graffiti left over from the ancient residents of Pompeii reveals more than just the handwriting and sketching styles of a lost civilization. Archaeologist Katherine Huntley reads between the lines.

It's amazing that kids draw the human body with the arms and legs coming from a ball. I drew people like this as a kid as does just about every kid. I find it astonishing even way back then kids would draw a body the same way. Its almost ingrained in us because it's what we go to first even though the contrary exist before our eyes.

Kids weren't bound to domestic spaces...Well for people born pre 2000s that was the common case...The tution classes, studies taking over play and adventure is a new thing.

Why're most videos on this channel not accessible in "my" country?

Or they lived in town and not in exclusively domestic spaces. It would be far more common for shopkeepers to live above or in back of their shops rather than commuting home to a separate dwelling, in the most common instances.
