A molecular visualization system in Virtual Reality, that uses high quality ray-casting based impostor objects to render spheres and cylinders, and allows users to extract and visualize residues, chains, atom distances, bond angles and torsion angles from a molecular model, with simple 2D controls and without the need to continuously ray cast into small objects in the scene. It also includes a world space panel that facilitates interaction even when occluded.
