The fact that the daughter in law is sitting so quietly and not basking in the fact that Dr Phil is on her side, just shows how broken she is over this situation. "I don't want to say any names, but Theresa"... proves the point that the mom knows she shouldn't say things, but says them just to wound the daughter in law. She knows what she's doing and does so with an evil grin. Disgusting.

Excuses. He needs to grow up and become independent. He doesn't even realize all the stuff in the world from his mom can't replace the feeling of not answering to anyone on how you want to live your life and who you want to love.
