Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has long been an outspoken advocate for oppressed people across the globe, whether in Yemen, Palestine, Peru or elsewhere. He’s also defended Julian Assange and called for peace in Ukraine. And for his trouble and sticking his neck out he’s been pilloried and smeared, in particular recently by his Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour.

I like Pink Floyd up until The Final Cut. I never liked Roger Waters' political commentary over the years until I realized I was the one who was wrong. He has age over me, so he also has knowledge and experience over me (and I'm no spring chicken, ) and now I support Roger and his message. He's right. These governments do not work for the people, they work for themselves. The people are just there to be fooled and hand over their lives and money. Nice to know that Gilmour is just parroting what his wife wants him to say. Be an evolved human, David, get with reality. I support Roger in this. He's telling it like it is. All I want is peace in the world. It can't be that difficult (unless you are funding a war to make money and don't want it to stop.)
