hello ellie howes, i have a concern regarding my speaking test, during my test my brain does'nt let me think straight, i cant come up with proper answers let alone use proper vocab and idioms, it generates absolutely zero ideas leading to a dead end of thoughts, its really haunting me and i often find myself contradicting during the test, is there any way to improve?

hi ellie, im facing a peculiar problem with my language proficiency, i have my ielts test on 27th of april and ive been really putting in a lot of effort lately to achieve clb10, i have achieved 8777 a couple of yeas ago when i took my test back in india but in my last attempt in canada i failed to achieve it, i dont really doubt myself because i have the caliber to achieve that score or even higher, thats why im aiming for clb10 this time, i even managed to get 8 bands in ielts writing when i took the test back in india, in my last attempt due to some grammar mistakes i ended up getting 7.5 in writing, i can go toe to toe with a band 9 speaker but only after practicing for hours, it may sound really strange but once i go to bed and wake up next morning my speaking ability descends all the way to band 7-7.5, it usually takes me hours of self practice to get back to the level of advanced speaking, being a non native speaker i totally understand it but this has been a worry since a lot of years, i hate it how i need to put in effort to try to sound like an advanced speaker, its not coming naturally and on the test day i end up sounding like a mere band 7 speaker, to be honest i wouldn't be surprised even if i end up getting 8+ in speaking because i speak eloquently with natives for hours and they have zero problem understanding me but in the exam its a different story, any tips from a professional like you would be greatly appreciated, thank you
