I hate to disappoint you and disrupt your narrative humping, but I am a lifelong resident of Springfield Ohio. Just last night my new next door neighbors invited me over for dinner. They are Haitian immigrants and I was really looking forward to the opportunity to get know them by breaking bread over a savory smelling home cooked meal.

These Haitians are an attractive duo of young newlyweds. The man’s name is “Voo” and his wife’s name is “Doo.” Voo pulled a chair out for me and I sat down and put a napkin on my lap. There were two big covered dishes on the table . Voo took the lid off the first dish with a flourish. I was instantly staring into the cold dead eyes of my beloved pet poodle “Princess” she had an apple in her mouth and was stretched out on a platter of par boiled potatoes, garnished with freshly picked herbs and slices of various colorful citrus fruits.

Then Doo took the lid off the next dish and it was my beloved Siamese kitty cat “Clover.” She had a large plumb in her mouth and was half submerged in a gorgonzola cheese sauce with sautéed mushrooms and onions.

The shock of these illegal immigrants butchering my beloved pets, was only partially softened by how delicious Princess and Clover were, and how excellent the bottle of fine Hatian merlot we drank with the meal was.
