“Fair comparison”? No. Fun comparison? yes! Before following your channel “insane” and Homelite would have never gone together in a sentence for me. But that m friend is crazy. Have a good one Smitty!

Hey, thanks for the video! Seems homelite tuned well and cuts faster than echo even with a bigger chain! Echo tuned well too, at least from what I hear👍🏻
Love homelite even more now😁

File out your gullet. Give it a tad more room. Stay at 30 degrees or go to 25. Rakers set to soft wood.

By the way that power saw cuts great job and thanks for the video. Would you care to share the timing numbers or did you put them in a build video that I have missed? Don't forget to hit the thumbs up for this guy folks he put a lot of work into these videos.

That Homelite is putting out a snowstorm of cuttings! I think it could handle more fuel easily. It'll need to be able to put more fuel to the engine if you switch over to Methanol. I'm not sure how to hot rod those square carbs? Are they like the Tillotson carbs where you can stack a second pump block?

Hand file that chain you will be surprised at the amount of chips it will move if you get the c shape correct and don't be afraid to drop down a file size and move down on your chain tooth so it allows the chip to clear obviously for The cutting edge you want to return to the correct size file. Watch a few of buckin Billy Ray's videos on sharpening chainsaws you'll hear him say get the gullet and he is right it definitely eliminates that skip and what that skip is is plugging up with chips. I personally have a few different grinder options in my shop however when I want a sharp fast chain I pick up a file and go to it I have yet to find a grinder other than the square grinder that competes with a file for a performance.
