Proposed changes to 28 Fundamental Beliefs of SDA

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is proposing to change the wording of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs. There are some good changes, and some problematic ones. This video attempts to show where the proposed changes need changing.

I have most issue with supposedly removing "revelations of" from The Father. I pray these changes are not made, or the old version remains available!

Oh yes I have.  I have been an SDA for 67 years. I have every book and read them many times and constantantly lived in fear. ( except  Colporter Ministry).  I am now out from under the 'straight jacket'.  I have two copies of the 1911 edition of Great Controversary. I can now witness of God's love instead of worrying about the red books.  I pray with a lot of people wherever I go.I do want to enter into any more discussion, all I know that Ellen White was influenced by others around her and she copied from many sources.  e g See page 37 of Early Writings where angels show a gold card to enter heaven.  I have read the Bible every day for 30 years and I have never come across anything this statement.  I believe that God has so much more grace than you understand, indeed when you consider Samson and Manassah  and David and Solomon, Noah and Gideon, you cannot deny God's mercy and grace.  You sound very legalistic by this video.

I agree with the term "Marrigage Partner"  being replaced with Man and Woman. However, when they could use Biblical term "near" in context of Second Coming rather than imminent, I cannot understand why they changed Man to Human while referring Christ. With Man being a biblical term and not Human.
