At this critical time for the energy transition, it is more important than ever that investors and corporations act together to ensure the best possible outcomes for affected people and society. Investors and companies are invited to join Ceres and the Council for Inclusive Capitalism to learn about the Just Energy Transition Framework for Company Action. This Framework is the first-ever guide for companies on concrete actions they can take to implement an energy transition that advances both social and environmental goals. The Framework’s building blocks for action are tied to Climate Action 100+ (CA100+) Net Zero Company Benchmark’s Just Transition Indicator for investor use.

Marcie Frost, CEO of CalPERS, and Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Founding & Managing Partner of Inclusive Capital Partners will introduce the Framework. Anne Simpson, Franklin Templeton Global Head of Sustainability and CA100+ Steering Committee member will demonstrate how the framework maps to the CA100+ Just Transition Indicator. Collaborating partners on the Framework, Sharan Burrows, General Secretary of the ITUC and Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance will discuss the worker perspective and the need for a Just Transition.

Secretary Jennifer Granholm, head of the United States Department of Energy and a member of the Cabinet of the United States, will share her critical views on the energy transition.

This webinar will feature case studies from Bernard Looney, CEO of bp and Mark Cutifani, Special Advisor, Anglo American about the practical application of the Framework within their corporations.

In this session, participants will:
- Engage on the worker, company and investor perspectives and roles in a Just Transition
- Explore the Framework and alignment with the CA100+ Just Transition Indicator
- Draw from companies and investors on the Framework’s practical application
- Participate in an interactive Q&A and receive relevant learning resources
