The coronavirus pandemic placed a bright light on the 'S' in ESG investing, underscoring the importance of integrating social factors into investment strategies. This focus on the 'S' will be paramount as investors consider their role in investing for a just transition. Without a full integration of social, environmental and governance factors, a low-carbon future that works for both the environment and society will be impossible to attain. In this presentation we ask how investors can play an active and effective role in the just transition. How can social factors be fully embedded into investment strategies? How can environmental and social factors be better integrated going forward?
