The ignorance and corruption in society at the time not understanding experts and research about male sexual abuse, but yet influencing their sentencing regardless of the evidence and circumstances is unacceptable 3 decades later and needs to be corrected in order to have trust in a fair justice system. Society and Institutions need to model that we evolved into prioritising and protecting the rights of severly abused children, who acted out of trauma and fear against their abusers. It is a legal obligation to consider it and distinguish it from other contexts of killings.
