_Coitus Interruptus_ sounds like a hilarious Harry Potter spell.

I had to look up “coitus interruptus”.

Pulling out. It means pulling out.

I remember a 100 Q&A Catholic book for teens using that scripture to explain why we shouldn’t masturbate. Looking at it now, I’m like “yeah…think I’ll talk to a therapist about what he thinks instead.”

It's so much easier to be critical of you when you're wrong. Well done in your handling of this topic, though. Just had a disagreement with a Catholic Channel and cited Jewish, Messianic Jew, and Protestant commentaries that all pointed out this point about Levirite marriage.

Dan, as I recall, Deuteronomy 25:5–10 says, regarding a Levirate marriage, that if the wife of the dead brother did not bear him a SON, as opposed to a daughter, then her deceased husband's brother shall marry her and try to have a son because the goal of this type of marriage was to be able to leave an inheritance from the deceased husband to his living brothers' son, since (I think) it was only males who could get an inheritance. "“If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead shall not be married outside the family to a stranger; her husband’s brother shall go in to her, and take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her. 6 And the first son whom she bears shall succeed to the name of his brother who is dead, that his name may not be blotted out of Israel."

That whole leverate thing is gross for the woman, making her nothing more than a baby machine.

"It's simple, we let her have her dead husband's things."
"Simple? No, the simple thing is to force her to be impregnated by her brother until she has a son who can live long enough to inherit her property... I mean her dead husband's property! Easy as that."

Some sects of Seek still practice marrying their deceased brother’s wife.

Religion can be so odd. God creates sex for procreation and as a bonus makes it extremely pleasurable. Then he issues a rule in total opposition of that bonus. My head is spinning.

"Onanism" is still listed in the dictionary as masturbation and also coitus interruptus.

Tamar knew she had to keep the bloodline pure, Judah having married outwith his tribe, therefore the sons were the problem, hence God killed them.
When Judah's wife died and Shelah had come of age, Tamar knew what she had to do.
Tamar must have been a pure bloodline. Just like Noah, who was righteous in his generation, Judah actually tells us Tamar was righteous also, more so than himself who had not kept his generation pure. Judah eventually realised this.

Judah did not suffer the same fate as his sons after going jnto Tamar because the sons were the problem.

So it seems that because Jesus did not come back too quickly, there were a lot of unsatisfied Christians?

Out of curiosity, what about section in the Torah, Leviticus 15:16, where a man is contaminated when there is a "discharge of semen" from him? I don't disagree with youn but would be curious to see how this verse (and others) align with your argument. Contaminated may not equal sin in his case, but sin is fairly foreign to the torah. Sorry for any improper official terms, I am not an expert.
