In addition to these great tricks and the one about restarting Windows Explorer, and Windows Explorer is not showing as a task or process, do this: If task manager isn't already open, Ctrl+Shft+Esc then click File, Run new task, and type explorer and hit enter. This will also restart the windows explorer and fix many problems without a reboot.

You can also switch to Summary View by double-clicking any one of the graphs on the left pane, or anywhere on the right pane.
