I love these videos but this time I've to say a little thing. At the end is true that you did the work but that energy went to the string and then to the ball. So the string did the work over the ball. When the ball is going to R to r then the angle between v and radius is not 90 so it can add velocity(energy) to the ball.

but in kinetic energy isn't the velocity a vector? and it's tangent to the circle !? and omega the same as well ?
but KE is scalar ... I'm confused ...
