To be fair WCW didn’t really know how to push Raven either. His mic skills and wrestling ability should have had him as an upper midcarder but instead he was squashed by Goldberg, lost his stable, and floundered until finally getting his release.

And Taz had several recurring injuries that kept him from staying on the active roster.

Seriously, people vastly overrate the whole situation about Goldberg's first WWE run. He still got to look pretty dominant whilst remaining enough of a sympathetic figure. In my opinion, WWE did the right thing by making him lose to HHH first, then beating him the second time, which made his triumph even bigger in hindsight. The only reason people complain about that run is that he didn't squash HHH in 2 minutes with the Spear and Jackhammer. Trust me, if WWE went that route, he would have been booed massively, even to Roman Reigns levels. Don't believe me? Have a good look at his second run one more time. Supposedly the run where he was treated exactly how the fans wanted but instead it backfired. People started to jeer him after he won the Universal title to the point when Brock would suplex him, fans would jump out of their seats and count along, all the while booing Goldberg when he got his offence in at Wrestlemania 33.

The way DDP was handled still pisses me off to this day. Having him be revealed as the stalker made no sense. He was revealed as such in my hometown just to rub salt in the wound.
