"Can I copy your homework?"

"Yeah, but don't make it look obvious"

I appreciate you not tearing Norman smiley apart and acknowledging that he was entertaining as screaming Norman. Dudes so underrated. If you’ve never heard Enzo amore talk about Norman helping him train you should it’s a great story

The problem with Asya is that despite the fact she was seriously jacked for a woman, she was really undersized. Unlike Chyna, Asya was only like 5'1 or 5'2 while Chyna was either 5'10 or 5'11. Plus she had nowhere near the same level of aura and presence as Chyna

Norman Smiley was the original R-Truth but with the Hardcore championship.

Norman Smiley would have thrived in WWE on the main roster.
Underrated asf, complete professional who got himself over.

Smiley wasn’t a copy of anything. Just a good hardcore wrestler

What you may have forgotten is that Chyna almost signed with WCW. When Joanie Laurer was getting discovered at Killer Kowalski's school, Killer stated that he introduced her to Shane McMahon and told him of her agreeing verbally to go with the southern wrassling company. However, the minute he heard that, Shane told Chyna that wwf was going to hire her.

I'd argue Screaming Norman Smiley was his own thing.
Personally never saw a Crash Holly parallel.

#7 - Don't make fun of Norman Smiley.
When it comes to real fighting, Smiley was the real thing. He put on a goofy persona, and he doesn't look tough. But Smiley always had tremendous respect from the boys in the WCW locker room. Certain wrestlers like Rick Rude, and Ron Simmons are legit tough guys who could seriously hurt opponents if they wanted to. Well, you can put Norman Smiley on that short list of guys who are for real.

Surely when a wrestler moves from one promotion to another, they generally keep the same gimmick/style, so that's not really stealing the gimmick. Earthquake to Avalanche just makes sense, i.e. give him a slightly different name. Same as Nash and Hall moving to WCW and basically having the same individual gimmick. Stealing gimmicks to me makes more sense when it's two companies using two different wrestlers with the same gimmick (like the Chyna vs Asya one).

It's interesting seeing this all happen through the Reliving the War series. It's sad to see how WCW fell over time

I disagree with Norman Smiley here. Crash was still tagging with Hardcore and he wasn’t over with hardcore title yet. I’ll give WCW credit for getting Norman over for being a non-hardcore hardcore champion first.

The Norman/Crash one is a stretch, at best. Norman did it first, and better
Shark might’ve been created quickly, but Tenta covered up his tattoo for the ill fated gimmick
