It depends on how much damage has been done. I prefer renovating and preserving historic stadiums but unlike Camp Nou or Bernabéu, Old Trafford received no maintenance for years and if the damage is big, renovating old infra becomes exponentially expensive.

As a Madrid fan I would say that Perez making the decision to rebuild while the pandemic happened was maybe genius or a stroke of luck. Rebuilding while no fans are allowed to attend and having it ready 1 year after fans are allowed back in was perfect for Madrid in optimizing its revenue

Yes. New stadium. Bigger and better. They will fill every seat cause the fans are crazy. Women's team also deserves to play at Old Trafford for their games too
