What is Childhood Apraxia of Speech?

I'm Kayla Chalko, a Speech-Language Pathologist, and I'd like to explain the speech disorder called Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

“Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a speech disorder in which a child’s brain has difficulty coordinating the complex oral movements needed to create sounds into syllables, syllables into words, and words into phrases. Typically, muscle weakness is not to blame for this speech disorder.”

Could a symptom of apraxia of speech be an 18 month old using the letter D for B? For instance says Dall for ball and dye dye for bye bye. He is also not talking as much as other children his age. He says about 7 words.

My son.is diagnosed with ADD, , can you guide me how to teach him independent writing, copy from board in class, , m really worried he is really unable cope up in these two.

Thank you so much!! My son has Apraxia of Speech! I just wanted to give some feedback on your video editing as an Autistic/adhd Adult with Auditory Processing Disorder, the background Music in your videos make it really difficult to focus on your Voice and hear what you're saying :( It's possible, but is very difficult as your voice actually sounds the same level or even quieter than the Background Music and I can't filter them apart :(
