Excellent design!! I have a Level 2 J1772 charger already for my car, but the CE4 charger is the best I've seen for scooters.

BMW I'm very exited about the new gen electric scooters, but the CE 04 leaves too much to be desired. Please don't put so much attention on the design, give us more storage space, normal looking machines, proper wind protection, more affordable price, better reliability (C650 was a nightmare).

I'm not a poor person and I can definitely afford to purchase the CE 04, but there are just too many things that are not right with it.

I like the design, it's different in a good way, what made you go with a belt drive over a shaft?
One could only dream of something like this in the 1970's as a kid.
The low center of gravity and the little bit of extra wheelbase will give it stability..

And effectively, most of the video is about how to charge your smartphone and to see Google map on the TFT display...
Who is going to pay more than 12000€ for such a gadget ???

Judging by the genius comments below, those commenters should get together and engineer and design a scooter of their own 🤣
I will buy this. What got me here was the Forward thinking design and the BMW brand, which gave it credibility, as well as exclusivity as an added bonus. Definitely the design though. This is unlike anything out there, and its design aesthetic reflects what most people perceive to be the future of ground transportation.
This will be my first BMW product. Happy to add it to my stable of vehicles.

Der Prototyp sah noch etwas besser aus, lag aber vielleicht auch an der Farbe. Für mich als C1 Fahrer ein spannendes Teil.

How many km will this battery last till it has to be replaced ?

No storage, too little space for passenger, no wind protection, price in space. I don’t know why BMW marketing thinks that to sell an electric scooter you first of all need looks. For some people probably it is correct, but they are few out of many. Others will try it, imagine how the go to work or a shop with a bag on a back and turn to Honda Forza for example. By the way, i was watching this video because last several days i tried several scooters being on holiday with my wife. I had a chance to compare BMW 400gt against different Forza’s from Honda. All of them were new. I tell you - BMW has no chance. And this strange electric vehicle just proves that the BMW is moving wrong way. According to some NBC program that i saw not so long ago Tesla is killing them in each city where Tesla opens office. I love BMW motorcycles and I do hope that BMW changes their way of thinking before they repeat Harley’s fate.

Price breakdown: battery is 80%, 15% motor, 5% body components, that means at 25, 000 miles (battery warranty) you may as well buy another scooter :D yup, all the EV does not make sense yet for Consumers, they are all "toys for the rich boys"

I absolutely love this design and ergonomics. That said, I just purchased an R18 Classic First Edition as my every day cruiser. This, on the other hand, is an incredible urban option but…. At $14k in the US, it’s not practical. I understand emissions and sustainability but the Burgman, BMW C series and several other urban electric scooters are much more economically attractive.
