On this episode, we are back on the rear end of Black Betty, or the 3650 SPL. Ben requested a simple bumper for the rear. keeping in mind the "Less is more" requirement, we had to create a sleek but simple bumper. We create the entire piece from stainless and add a polished push bar to spice it up.

There is something about a nicely rounded rear end that I love .😊

Come on! That there's some amazing attention to detail and traditional hot rod aesthetic. Truly works on every level...tradition, form, function, and visual appeal. Black Bess (yeah, I keep pushing the name) is turning into one amazing artistic and one of a kind roadster! Fantastic work! Thank you for sharing and can't wait to see what's next! Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward!

I too have always liked a really nice rear end. The back of the roadster looks great also. Suttle and simple looks best.

When I get back to my ‘32, I’m stealing this idea - of course ! Brilliant. 😁👍🏼

Wasn't really digg'n it until it was painted black. You knocked it out of the park with the entire assembly. The nudge bar might be utilized to mount a hidden light to shine onto the plate.

Yeah, I was doubtful about painting it but you win again. It Carry’s out the sanitary vibe perfectly. If Ben doesn’t like it I’ll be surprised ... and hugely disappointed. He should be tickled to death that someone so dedicated to the spirit of the rod is putting his heart in it too.

I like that! Wasn't sure about the black until it was done and it's killer! Take care!

A great look. Gives me some ideas for a bumper I've been thinking about.

Looks great. I've seen a lot of stainless "nerf bars shaped like this in hospital bathrooms & showers. I think they call them assist bars. Might have worked for a mock up at least??. This one sharp looking roadster.

Looks really nice. Maybe you should make a luggage rack out of stainless on the trunk lid make a tag holder on the bottom of luggage rack ? 🤓💯👍

Hey guys, great content as usual, I’m collecting all I need to build a ‘28 roadster, so far I’ve got all the body and chassis plus a hot 389 tri power Pontiac. The best part is it all owes me nothing.
