I just gotta say... Bruh.
I run a small Youtube channel as a hobby, I made this for my discord friends in band and decided to upload it to a dump channel for the heck of it, I expected this to get maybe 4 views, but then I searched up 'Instrument Slander' a few weeks ago to show one of my friends and... wow.
This is now the most popular instrument/band slander video on youtube.
I guess I'm proud? Maybe? To anyone who subbed to this channel, thank you, but I mean it's just here to dump random videos that don't fit on my main channel, so I'm using this to shamelessly plug my ACTUAL channel where I occasionally release music related videos.
To those of you who are just here for the funny haha trombone sixteenth notes, thanks for watching lol

(Also if you REALLY want the audio Incantation and Dank Remix, let me know in the replies and I'll upload it along with a download link to the Ribbons channel)

I tried to concentrate on the memes but that backing track put me in a fugue state

As a flutist myself, I can confirm that any piece that doesn’t make us play at least three ledger lines above the staff will make us look at the band directors like they’re insane.

As a trombonist, I can confirm that attempting to play 16th notes leads to falling to the ground while crying in despair.

As a percussionist, I can confirm all of the percussion memes are absolutely 100% accurate

As a French horn player, I can confirm that we immediately destroy the nearest keyboard upon learning that the name of our instrument is actually a misnomer.

As an oboeist, I can confirm that playing out of tune adds depth and color to the band’s sound and is therefore essential. Fight me.

as a trumpet player, i remember receiving a piece of music with an entire section in pp. we all lost our minds and never managed to play that quietly

as a clarinetist, I can confirm we scream and cry whenever we're told not to squeak

Being a bassist in my school's jazz band i feel like "bassists trying to be as loud as possible but still not being heard" is a good one

As a bass clarinet player this is criminally underrated

as a mallet focused percussionist, i can confirm that we just breeze thorugh 4096th notes, despite having to hit the instrument 10 times a second.

as a bassist, i can confirm we are in desperate need of joining woodwind ensemble, because TECHNICALLY our instrument is made out of wood, and what do the strings create when they are vibrating? Wind. Because our instrument is literally not even shaped like a violin, we request to be put into woodwind ensemble.

As a bassoonist, you come to learn there are about 3 ways to play the same note when playing any note that isn’t the lowest ones

I like to think about that sometimes
